- Think of a situation between two characters that follows one of these scenarios
- one of them is trying to convince the other of something
- One is angry with the other for breaking the rules in some way
- The two have a miscommunication about something
- Write the scene. First, only write the dialogue.
- Reread your scene, and add markers of action, gesture, or silence. Have the character speak through these nonverbal forms of communication (as well as with their words).
- Share your scene in groups of 3. Each scene should be acted out. After each reading, discuss what was effective and could be more so.
